Allen Iverson's NBA career looks set for revival after the disheartened point guard held talks with the Philadelphia 76ers.
ESPN.com's Marc Stein reported on Tuesday that Philadelphia, where Iverson played 10 seasons, is interested in picking up the playmaker after he was cut by the Memphis Grizzlies.
Iverson and his representatives sat down with 76ers management and head coach Eddie Jordan for more than two hours to discuss a deal.
"This afternoon, we met with free agent Allen Iverson in Dallas for the first formal discussion regarding a possible return to the Philadelphia 76ers," general manager Ed Stefanski said in a statement.
"At this time, both parties remain non-committal regarding a final decision and we will continue to discuss internally whether or not to pursue this course."
Iverson played just three games for Memphis this season before taking a leave of absence to attend 'personal issues'.
The New York Knicks considered signing the 34-year-old before deciding he would take too much playing time from developing players.
