I struggle between laughing and weeping for the trapped miners’. This would be such a great 2010 “Hudson River-esque” type of success story if it were not for the discouraging rescue predictions!  Christmas…really!??! A 3-to-4 month rescue forecast makes me even question my own optimism—and I can find the silver lining in nearly any situation.

I am delighted that the company has finally opted to try a “Plan B”, however, I can’t help but wonder when we, (by “we” I mean the world), will stop putting human beings in situations where the contingency is created after the tragedy has already happened!?! Did we not learn anything from the oil spill!??!
