While Chris was being criticized yesterday
for that janky 30 second Larry King Live interview clip, Rihanna spent
her day at Six Flags hanging out with Tweety Bird.
In an apparent slip of intellect, someone within the
Costco Corporation decided that it might be a good idea to put out
black dolls with the words "Lil' Monkey" on the top of the doll's forehead. Alrighty then, that makes sense.
In order to make this into yet another "teachable moment," to my young generation coming up let's ask
ourselves this question: Why didn't someone notice that it might be
offensive to refer to a black baby as a lil monkey? So, the individuals deciding how to produce, market, finance
and distribute this product could be, as with many corporations,
completely ignorant about how to do business with other ethnic groups. Now mind you I'm only 15 years old, and I believe if you have companies putting out black baby dolls calling them "lil monkeys", please stop making these gestures how we are going to ruin the world once we take charge of it. Give me some feed back on what you guys think?
Chris Brown has had a harsh week with all the comments and speculation regarding his interview with Larry King Live.
Brown looks sad here as he leaves LAX airport on Monday. The Larry
King Live interview with Chris Brown will air on Wednesday night where
Chris will apologize for assaulting his ex, Rihanna. Brown says he still loves Rihanna even though they can no longer be together. “We’ll always be friends,” he says.
