Happy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! We can still find a reason these days to be happy can't we? However, I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive to hit the power button this morning because only God knew what was waiting for me in my inbox, or on the information highway. I don't know, maybe a $700 billion bus!  Anywho, yesterdayy morning, I had the pleasure of finding out that Wachovia (my beloved banking institituiton for the past 5 years) went belly up, so needless to say, I chuckled when this was the first email I was privy to this morning:

"34 Reasons to Have Sex."  Not that I need 34 reasons to have sex, I thought it would be a great way to break up the monotony.  Enjoy! And I really love reason #14! Click here to read for yourself.

Yet another one bites the dust...

This bank failure is really disheartening for me because it is my bank. However, it was not that surprising. There has been internet talk all weekend concerning the sale. 

Wachovia was one of the financial institutions hit hardest by the mortgage market crisis, but now it's Citigroup's problem. 

Fey's Palin for the second time...

Can I just say that I love Tina Fey! Her impression of Sarah Palin is so close it's almost scary!

David Letterman is pissed!

Doesn't it seem as if David Letterman is just a little bit pissed off that John McCain cancelled his appearance on his talk show?

Obama wants to speak...

If you are puzzled as to why I posted this video you will understand in a few seconds. I finally saw Tyler Perry's "The Family that Preys", last night. And although I didn't think it was one of his best (and I am a die-hard T.P. supporter) I did love the message of the movie--and I love this damn song! For those of you who have not seen the movie, you will still get why I love the song so much by just listening to the words. Happy Tuesday!

Diddy needs to be stopped!

Ok, y'all this is serious! I need for all of you to join me in letting Diddy know that he really needs to sit his ass down somewhere.  I really thought the video below was a joke, however there was never a punch line. I need for this foolishness to stop, immediately! So will y'all join in the intervention of Diddy?

The Pedophile of R&B speaks...

I was more than apprehensive about watching (much less) posting this monster on my blog, but after countless emails I finally gave in to the pressure. This first video conveniently edited the part where R. Kelly was asked by Toure if he liked underage girls, however the second video after this posting shows the first part of the interview. 

Now for those of you who wanted my opinion--here you go. First, I would like to commend Toure for not slapping this Negro when he asked him what he meant by teenager. However, I have to also condemn Toure for comparing this child-molester to Muhammad Ali. The only human being that should/could be compared to R. Kelly is O.J. (For obvious reasons). I literally had a headache after watching this Negro lie. However, I do believe him when he says he keeps it real in his music. So when he writes about his demons--we should have taken him at his word. Maybe R. Kelly was crying out for help, and we were being selfish. One writer to another, I know that our experiences feed our gift, so I know his writing is cathartic for him, and R. Kelly has been confessing to us for years through music, but most of us did not take the time to listen. However, Robert is still in denial, even though his guilt is written all over his damn face.

"Michelle Obama's Makeover for America," well I'm speechless...

This bust, which is an (alleged) clay depiction of Michelle Obama, will be displayed in the Leo Kesting Gallery in New York beginning October 1st.  As I stated after announcing the title, I truly am speechless. What are your thoughts?

I love both of their voices, however the song is going to have to grow on me.
